Sarah Jane directed POPSTARS THE MUSICAL for the Degree performance students at Poole College at the Jellicoe Theatre. This was a chance for her to use her skills as a director to give the students an industry level production experience of the highest quality.
She adapted the script and took the students through the audition process giving them tips and tricks to navigate this often difficult situation. During the rehearsal process they learned the etiquette needed to become a good company member and how to get to a performance level.
She also guided the lighting and sound students through their roles and brought the whole production together using her skills in these different departments to produce a show that the students could be proud of. The audiences loved the finished product and it was received with standing ovations every night.
Songbird - The Music of Eva Cassidy
Songbird tells the story of legendary artist Eva Cassidy, through performance, narration and a live onstage band. It takes the audience on a powerful musical journey from Eva's humble beginnings to her untimely death at 33.
